Excavation
Design Concepts owns its own equipment and digs every pool with in- house employees. Elevations are set using a laser level which is crucial for proper deck drainage.

Steel Reinforcement
#3 rebar tied on 12” centers is used to strengthen the shell. 16 gauge steeltex liner defines the shape of the pool.

Concrete Shell
Minimum 6” thick gunite is pneumatically applied around steel. The concrete shell has a lifetime warranty

|
Plumbing
Sch40 PVC plumbing with separate valves on each line is used. Pipe diameters are determined by calculating flow rates desired for certain pumps & filters. The hydraulic system is pressure tested to ensure there are no leaks.

Tile & Coping
A wide selection of tile and coping is available. Most of the selections can be seen at our showroom.

Decking
Many decking options are available. Sand set pavers are the most popular choice, we have many samples in our showroom. Our concrete decks have #3 rebar tied on 12” centers, 3000# concrete, and fiber mesh.

Enclosure / Fence
We use ClearView screen enclosures which have 10 to 12 foot openings between uprights. Each upright is secured to the deck with rebar and filled solid with concrete. The roof beams are filled with dense composite foam to give them superior strength.

Plaster
Various types of pool plaster are available. The standard finish is a machine blended white Portland cement with colorquartz or river aggregate. Other exposed aggregate finishes are available such as Pebble Tec® or Beadcrete®.

Equipment
We used all top of the line Pentair equipment. Pump & filter size is determined by pipe length and size of pool. Many options are available:
- Energy efficient pump
- Chlorine generator (salt system)
- Automation system
- Heat pump
- LED color light

Fill & Balance
Upon completion your pool will be started, cleaned, and chemically balanced. You will be instructed on how to operate and maintain your new pool.
